Hello!

Caroline Meekins was in the first graduating class at WCA to go entirely through the Abeka program - a Christian based curriculum. Upon graduation, she attended College of the Albemarle where she received her Associate Degree. She has been a teacher at WCA for the past nineteen years. She has taught fifth and sixth grades for thirteen years and for the last six years she has been the high school English Language Arts and Spanish teacher. She is also certified in CPR and the use of an AED. Caroline is the sixth child of seven and currently the caretaker of her elderly parents. Although she does not have children of her own, she has many nieces and nephews that she enjoys spending time with. She also faithfully attends Wanchese Assembly of God and considers its members her family. One of the most important things to Caroline is being outside. She enjoys working in the yard, riding in her boat, and going to the beach. She enjoys nature and gets excited about the change of weather and storms. At one time, she considered becoming a meteorologist. Visiting places that she has taught about and historical sites are considered an awesome vacation. She avidly watches all Olympic sports, but above all she loves doing things with her family and serving God. Her favorite scripture verse is; “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up.” -John 3:14
